my life now,
changed.
my past,gone;
irrelevant.

the life i live,
i live for my Reedemer.

whatever i do,
i do for the one who loves me.

i write to give him praise,
i am proud to add that,
A poet for the Lord i have become,
this will i forever be.

i surrender to his will,
i give all to my Saviour,

OOOPS!

it has indeed been a long break. how was your VALENTINES DAY?hope cool. mine was fun. i was given a treat.My heart goes out to the lonely ones;the orphans and the widows. i cannot overemphasise the need to stretch out our hands of love to the needy. Remember those who give never lack. if you ever want to be successful, you need to practice the principle of giving.

The new year has beckoned. we are grateful to heed to its call. we have so many goals we are hoping to achieve. Those dreams we did not achieve last year, we hope this year would indeed be fulfilling. However,have we stopped and thought of the dying and suffering. in what way have we tried helping out? This new yeAR 2009, do try and think of others than yourselves.Asides hoping for the best for your lives, extend your hands of love to those in need.

GOD must be a poet.

I got thinking throughout this holiday. i am a poet who really loves what am doing. i can as well

say that i am poetry-crazy. i have been asked severally by friends and foes alike what my

inspiration is and my reply has always been -it is GOD. It is only recently however that i got

thinking about it. it certainly has to be GOD who inspires me. Going through the bible,i get

amazed with the poetic gifts being displayed by solomon and david. i am indeed glad to add that

most if not all creative writers write not by their own inspiration but that of the creative

GOD.The source of inspiration and creativity. i am using this opportunity to acknowledge the

invisible hand behind mine each time i write;('GODS') i am glad to add; poets are deep people.

GOD also must be a deep GOD with feelings.Poets are intellectuals. GOD also is the source of all

intellect. Hmmnh! i say, GOD must be a poet.

On my knees i went,
in holy fear.
Speechless i remained ,
as i gazed at your royal splendour.

My heart stood still,
while i awaited your judgement.
thin drops of sweat trickled down my long neck,
and my breath quickened in soft rhythms.


in anticipation, i waited in utmost silence,
the Lords judgement came so swift and gentle
he said,'he has looked beyond the guilt'
and with the sweetest smile dancing around his lips,
he breathe out freedom.

i stood up in grateful awe,
pinching myself in disbelief
my guilt vanished with a veil over her face,
and alas i knew sorrow no more.

Love has many facets,
you sure can't deny,
love of my past,
love of my present,
love of my future,
not comparable.
though i did learn,
everyone has three loves,
a first love,
a last love,
a lost love,
they too are not comparable.

it is with joy that i announce that the Nigerians first poetry magazine is out. The contributors are university of ibadan students. it is a magazine that contains only poetry. what i could call poetry in totality. Poetry is so beautiful. this magazine has as its chief editor a university of ibadan student whose basic aim is to create a forum through magazine whereby poems could be published thereby giving a voice to the poets. its sold for 120naira.
